Hi I used DVDShrink 3.2 to shrink the ISO file of a U2 concert DVD.
The image was then burned, unfortunately the color is gone and it only is in B&W. The other strange thing is that there is only 1 "black bar" on the top of the screen as apposed to the normal 2 (top and bottom).

Any ideas?

is it a PAL disc you are trying to watch on an NTSC tv or vice versa? color problems can be caused by pal/ntsc formats being used on incorrect tv.

Thanx, that does make sense.

How do determine if it is PAL or NTSC. I have the ISO file with no "read me" information.

it should say on the original disc if it is PAL or NTSC. i dont know how you would tell from an iso image. ( i know if you make your own disc in Nero it will tell you if AVI files are NTSC or PAL, i dont know if this will work with iso files)

If your disc is black and white put it in the player and the remote control of ur DVD player should have a button called system or P/N Press that it should alter between the PAL and NTSC formats and if it turns to colour u will know which format the movie is in. :)

Thanks for the help, but none of the 3 DVD players i own have a switch to change from PAL and NTSC formats.

Anyother methods?
