i have bought this game, and i have version 1.5 and fastloader v7, when i click start inserted UMD it restarts.

how can i stop this or do i have to copy it on to pc and then put it on the iso?

I think Smackdown requires you to Update to have 2.5 or above to play it, this means youll be sacrificing all your ISOs and alot of your homebrew emulations. Once you upgrade to 2.01 or above you CANNOT downgrade back to 1.5.

NO NO NO NO NO smackdown vs raw 2006 does NOT require firmware 2.5 , its really annoying me that people are saying this , i have the UMD and it runs on firware 2.00!!! so just upgrade to 2.00 and downgrade back once done

i have found a program that tricks the psp in thinking that it is running on version 2.00, i use that but then it still doesnt work i get an error.

if i keep upgrading and downgrading will it affect the psp?

Upgrading and downgrading will not effect your psp considering you are doing it properly and not doing it from like 2.6 which indeed increases the chance of bricking the psp. Find a legit downgrader from 2.0 and stick to it. there are alot of psp douch bags out there filling them with malware for no purpose but to brick your psp. so just stick with what you know works.
