I'm using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink.. and I have been for quite a while now.

I'm trying to backup disc 3 of season 4 for family guy.. disc1 & 2 worked fine as always.. but for some reason whenever I use shrink and it says the file is to big to fit on the disc.

I tried opening up shrink reencoding and moving the slider down some to make it even smaller and lose some quality.. the iso image is 4.41gb .. so it should fit on a dvd disc fine.. (4.7gb) .. but it's still giving me the same error.

anybody have any ideas?

Are you running FAT32 or NTFS?

If you're running FAT32, it won't allow any single file to be bigger than 4000MB.

Sorry long day...

Use DVDshrink to set the size to 4300Mb.

I changed it to custom ratio and moved the slider all the way back as far as it would go on each spot.

I can't get it under 4300mb.

Have you thought about the sound? I normally only keep 5.1... There's still stuff there you can 'clean out'... I know we like it as good as but...
It's entirely up to you.
