I ripped Stealth using the supposed latest version of DVDFab Decrypter (2.9.7.0) and then used VOB Blanker to process through all the bad cells.
Then I opened it using the Files button on DVD Shrink, and it won't do it. I see it start to preview when it starts to open the files, and then I see green screen/scrambled screen/pixels and it says Error and won't open it. I've got two different error messages while opening it.
I thought VOB was supposed to fix this problem for this movie.
Any suggestions? (no, I don't have AnyDVD)
EDIT: I didn't realize I had to have DVD43 closed in order for Fab to work properly. I'll try it now.

VobBLanker has never let me down, so far I have not seen any new release movie(s) that VobBLanker can not process and filter out left over craps, junks, dummy, fake cells or sectors, etc.
No AnyDVD, no DVD43, no hustle, no glitches whatsoever, always 100% success.
Make sure you have the latest version from VobBLanker 2.1.0.0 and DVDFAB Decrypter or DVD Decrypter to rip via Mode, File F.
======================================================================
Here's what you need to do
======================================================================
<001) rip the movie via DVDFAB Decrypter (2.9.6.8 or higher) to hard drive
<1.1> or rip the movie via Mode, File F with DVD Decrypter to hard drive
<002> VobBLanker 2.1.0.0 to PROCESS and FILTER out any left over craps and junks
<003> transcode with DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 or any of your desire encoders
<004> burn your final ISO or VIDEO_TS file with any of your desire burning engines.
======================================================================
Again, no sweats, no hustle, all rippers are FREE. Enjoy it!!!

When I got that movie it was my first DVD Shrink error...All I had to do was run AnyDVD in the background for it to work for me.

Like the rest I also ran DVD Decrypter and DVD43 in the background and then went through the normal steps after u know DVD Shrink and then i backed it up using CloneDVD 2. If you still get errors it mayb the siac the movie is on is badly pressed.

I am having the same problem with Stealth and The Longest Yard, they are both using pretty much the same Decryption key. I have tried throwing DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor, DVDFab and VOBBlanker at them and still nothing, With DVDFab i got the same green screen and scrambled images and when I tried using VOBBlanker it gave me all the VOB's except the actual movie, I am not a wiz on DVDFab and VOBBlanker so if someone has any idea why this is happening then please let me know and put me out of my misery.

@ranger
Make sure you don't have AnyDVD or DVD43 running in the background, or else it will conflict with VobBlanker and you'll have some issue like smaller files (GB), unsynchronized VOB, etc.
Again, seriously, I have never experienced any issues using both DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker 2.1.0.0.
Good luck!!

mcbruja,
If you ripped a movie to HD in 4 hours then something really is wrong. I did it in about 13 minutes.
How badly scratched is the DVD as it could also be a bad press.
Have you re-cleaned the DVD real well as that error you got stated that the data was bad.
Have you cleaned the lens on the DVD-Rom that you rip w/.
Are you using an external burner to rip from?
VoBBlanker is up to 2.1.1 so might as well upgrade to it

@mcbruja
To be honest with you, I've never seen/encountered any movies/dvds that both DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker can not handle. It should never take you that long (4 hrs) to rip the movie (STEALTH) via DVDFAB Decrypter.
It took me 12 mins to rip the movie into my hard drive and it took me 5 minutes to PROCESS my VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker 2.1.0.0. And the rest is history, I can simply use either Nero Recode 2 or DVD Shrink to transcode as normal.
Like Car.Mike said, there is something wrong with your system. Either it's infected with spyware, virus or the disc is badly scratched, dirty, etc.
Yes, a new version of VobBlanker is out, so I recommend everyone to get this baby (it's one of the few powerful/useful free tool to have).
Good luck!!

Hi,
I too am having problems with Stealth.
I cannot get Decrypter (Mode F) or DVDFab to rip to disk. I have tried Shrink with and without AnyDVD. I tried AnyDVD rip to HD. I even tried to direct copy to HD by draging. I have the most current versions of all software.
Tried using VobBlanker. Did a full scan. It goes until the last file (16) and fails.
I am using an IBM G laptop, have tried the internal DVD, both an external Memorex D/L 16X or an external Toshiba 8X. All drives give the same result.
Shrink gives the CRC error. AnyDVD gives an unreadable fatal error. DVDFab gives the same. The disk is clean.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Carl

Reboot your pc making sure first that AnyDVD will is the only decryption software that boots up with Windows. Then use DVD Decryptor and copy the entire disc to your HD. Check it has worked by exiting AnyDVD and open the HD folder in either DVD Shrink or to be safe just use a DVD Player software. Once the movie and menu's are there, use DVD Shrink and whatever burning software you use.
It worked for me, so I don't see why it shouldn't for anyone else.

Hi,
I did what you said and got the same result. Gave up and thought that they finally beat me.
Then I found out that my wife had used Disc Doctor on this one because it was so scratched. In my experience, cleaned discs are just like a damaged disc. The scrub marks at an angle to the data track will cause errors. I believe this is the problem I am having.
Has anyone else had this type of problem?
Thank you for your suggestions.
