can anyone help i have been using shrink for past twelve months no probs then all of a sudden i am getting more coasters than i need films just stop and break up.its not media cause i only use verbs.
help me please

What speed are you burning at? Are you multi-tasking? High burn speeds could give you some problems as well as multi-tasking while you burn. How many coasters have you had?

wow thats a lot of coasters for verbs. are they all from the same pack? I once had a pack of verbs that were bad. have you installed any new programs before the problem started?

What Verbs are they? Are you burning at Max? Have you tried to lower the burn speed to say 6x? I burn verbs at 6x without a problem, but am using 8x verbs, not 16x.

just tried to do the island on different media ridata.stops in same place as it did on verbs changed speed to 4x but still same

Use "rw" discs, if you can, until you figure out problems. Is this happening on the SAME movie or all of them?

I also was using shrink for months and started having more failures than successes.
Advise from here fixed the problem. Here are the things I did and problems are over.
1. Try a new batch of discs. I also have run into bad batches where none would work.
2. Limit the file size to 4300 mb so u don't burn to the edge of the disc.
3. Update your firmware.
4. I limit burn speed to 4x.
5. I only use Verb. and Sony discs. (work most consistantly for me, your burner may be different).
