Has anyone noticed the people who work at the rental stores lately they can barely dress themselves let alone reset a chip on a disc. but and i do emphasize but if there was something fishy about the red rental discs its probably 1 of the employees love juice from where he failed to wash his or her hands after a restroom break.

Oh god, this thread starts to crack me up, LOL.

Did you guys heard/noticed that Sony is going to put a "small GREEN chip" on the disc, and once you ripped the dvd/disc, it triggers the light and turns into RED and "they will know"? The news is from usatoday, LOL.

Just my 2 cents... in regards to "blah blah blah, they will know". Seriously, this thread is hilarious.

shhhhh don't tell anyone i told you but the password is YABBLE DABBLE. make sure you scream those two words like you were mr. limpet and it will trigger a shock wave that will make a little redfox appear.
then blow on the the red part of the disc like you were blowing in your girlfriends ear:} this should put that chip in the right mood and therfore you will be free to burn for the rest of the night!!

And once the disc turns red or red-purple, cops will be at your door.

Man this thread is going nuts. I'm going to hollar at my buddy soon, if this keeps going. Obviously, what's the point in this thread anyway? It's pointless and or useless, just waste a good space that's all.

Jesus! i left this thread last night to go to bed and 2 pages have been added since! this is a classic, do these people know how stupid they sound?

just going back to an earlier point made:

"It spins at a higher speed when you rip to burn"

Who sez so?????? Yeah, a PC drive maybe but how would that then stop you from using a single speed dvd recorder with a macro filter????

Check this out.......They even have a new thing that lets them see you through your tv!!! seriously, so even if you decide your burning days are over because of the red chipped discs and decide the only option left is to play the dvd and set up your camcorder aiming at the tv,,,,THEY WILL KNOW BECAUSE THEY CAN SEEEEEEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUU!!!

Please you guys going on about this chip thing, tell us all that you are joking????? yeah chips are small but not bloody invisible and this chip would throw the disc way off balance anyway so forget the idea of them having to check the disc when you return it, the bloody thing would shatter in your drive and wreck your computer!
Go on then, come back and say they would put a counter weight on the other side of the disc, you can say it but you will just sound more stupid than you do already so i would just leave that one alone!

Now that's an idea, why don't they design discs to shatter at high speeds!!!!!!!!!!

I'd rather read a thread like this ANYDAY than another post about AnyDVD with clone DVD2 or shrink copying next week releases. So burned out on those posts every week.

The chips are implanted at the center of the discs and therefore the discs are balanced.

There are actually three "chips" per disc at exactly 120 degrees apart so that they will be in perfect balance as the disc spins. Information is written to all three "chips" so all three must be deactivated by placing the "copied" originals under a quartz prism which measures 15.5 cm on each side for 33 minutes then placed in complete darkness for 37 minutes. Good luck. This thread will self distruct in 15 minutes .............

Just a small observation, but last time i checked the center of a dvd was made from thin air, you know, that stuff that fills the hole!

I have not seen these so-called red and orange discs yet. Where are people getting them from? Blockbuster? If so, that counts me out. I don't rent from Blockbuster. The closest Blockbuster to me is about 30 minutes away. I have a Hollywood Video right up the street.

OMIGOD!!!! Anyone in the know, knows the chips are GPSs. Yeah, kinda like the ones used in "Enemy of the State".....and you know what happened to those guys! The MPAA and FBI have no borders in what they will do to get you. Definitely stay away from the red and orange ones. Not only that, if you do succeed, the images turn into green people.
