I use the 600 disc case from supermedia... Excellent storage in a small footprint. Couple it with this for a nice setup:

It's movie cataloguing software... Once you accumulate over a couple of hundred DVDs, you'll appreciate it!

I like Dvd Profiler. If you put the dvd in the drive, it'll automatically look it up on the net and let you add it to your catalog with one click. There's a free version with ads. It's good but if you have a huge collection, it's a big pain in the ass to sit there and catalog all your dvd's. It takes time. I did about fifty dvd's and was forced to reformat my hard drive. I really don't want to do it again. I've got several hundred dvd's and it's not exactly fun after a while.

Use Micro$oft Access, customized data list. Small file size and easy to use...
Store DVD's in Sterilite plastic bins designed for CD/DVD disks, each holds about150, and cost less than $2.00 at Lowe's home improvement stores.

Wal-Mart sells those Sterilite CD/DVD bins as well. I started with those, but the case looks MUCH better in my living room...
