stuey i have tried to do this but when i try to add video files it is saying no compatible files found am i suposed to put the video that i have downloaded in to the converter first thanks emma

I am trying to burn a dvd AVI which i downloaded from the net i have spent a fortune on dvd sqeeze, converter, shrink i have Nero which came with the dvd r/rw and i still can not burn please can you help me when i try to do it on Nero vision express it is saying no compatible file found and on Nero express 6 it is saying not enough space i have tred to make space but nothing is working emma
