Look to your media or burn speed.

Read Read Read. I wouldn't burn anything for a couple days. Read media forum, then burning for newbies, then more.. It will take alot of coasters off your belt.

Sounds like a media and burning issues to me. What's the MID on those 16X HP DVD+R? A good rule of thumb is to always keep your burner's firmware up-to-date and burn at 4X - 8X only. I don't recommend using HP media either. The only media I recommend are: (A) Taiyo Yuden (B) Verbatim "advanced azo or datatlife plus" and (C) Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi Corp.)

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Yuuup i second that. reserch a little while I go learn how to spell. There are many posts on here with the same problem. We could tell you but I for 1 would rather you learn something instead of feeding it to you. To save you a little time and money come back with what you think the solution is, and we'll tell you if we think you're right.

Well, you got it. It is your Media. Not your burner, at least I don't believe it is. I use TDK DVD+R or FUGI FILM+R NEVER anything else I would use Verbatim but not available were I shop. Also Taiyo Yuden = FUGI FILM. Depending what program you are using to burn with, try lower speed on it. Ya I know you got a 16X burner and the disc are 8X BUT I would recommend that you never go above 4X on your burn. I use Decypt for my burn and only run it at 2X. I'm sorry if I sounded rude with my last post, But I meant it. Alot of people will post something that is anouther person is haveing trouble with, although we don't mind helping you, I learned alot just by reading other peoples posts. It helps you out in the long run because you gget so much more info and solutions for future problems. Hopefully I didn't hurt you feelings and you will be able to get your problem fingered out.

thanks again for the info, and my skin is pretty think, or maybe its my head, but it will take much more to hurt my feelings, also since u mentioned it, the speed settings, have been looking all over for the settings, and most i see are for reading and not writing, i have read about clv and dclv and cav and nothing about how i change speeds for writing, is this a software issue, if it is then i have spent sometime trying to change hardware settings, doh, time to check software
