TRUE SILVER INKJET HUB DVD-R (EDGE TO EDGE)

Ok, I've search the web to two days straight looking for a "True" edge to egde Silver Printable "HUB" DVD-R or +R disc, and no luck!
Today I came across a disc called "CLEARIMAGE", which claims to have a TRUE edge to egde Silver Hub Printable DVD. Looking at the photo of the disc is very convincing, but when you try to get a close up of the disc, it will not allow it. I spoke with a rep and she told me that it was a true egde to edge hub, but she did not have any samples to send me. So I decided to search the web using their ClearImage name and I found some distributors selling their product but guess what, they had the same unclear image as the manifacturer. So I called again and got another rep and told her my dillema. She stated that they were true edge to edge, but when I told her how "Prodisc" claims to have a silver injet hub dvd-r, but infact it was not, she became very silent. She explained to me that the ClearImage disc were infact Prodisc! She also let the cat out of the bag and stated thata Fuji's so-called injet silver hub was also Prodisc, and if I was not satisfied with their disc I would not be satisfied with theirs! But she was very nice and all of a sudden there were some samples she could send me when just 30 minutes ago the other rep said she did not have any.
So, does anyone know if a SILVER INKJET "HUB" exist! If so I would greatly appreciate it if you let me in on it!

Yes that edge to edge is very deceiving.
I have never found (us) a hub printable silver inkjet disc. But I'll hold out for Taiyo Yuden -hopefully they'll come out with one. I use their silver inkjet (non - hub) printable. I used the Prodics ones before and the ones I had were not silver but more gold looking even though they said silver inkjet. They sucked.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that can see that! I will get T.Y. non hub printables anyway. But let me say this, if anyone comes out with a True Silver inkjet printable hub, they will not be able to keep them on the shelf!
If you are looking for the best DVD covers on the planet, go to this website http://www.generetic.org/custom-dvd-covers/. They have all digital covers and their custom cover are SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. You got to see it for yourself. One thing is that you will not be able to download any covers unless you contribute for awhile with your own custom covers, or be like me a pay 20 bucks and have a download orgasm!
Oh Let me know which cover you want and I'll send you one of what I downloaded. Just name the movie!

Oh This offer goes to anyone that wants to see the quality of the covers and labels of this website. I will send you one cover of your choice. But I also suggest you join because just 20 bucks is a shame to be paying this site. The artist are incredible!

Try those TY's - I love the look they have when the label is printed on them! They are true silver inkjet. I usually just scan the original but sometimes I don't like it or it's just silver with the core writing. When I come across one I need I'll pm you. Thanks!

I am assuming that silver injket printables a better than the white ones. Is this the case.
I'am just wondering because I was going to order white ones from dvdmedia.ca until I seen your post.

I usually use HiResCovers.com or CustomCDLabels.com. They have nice art as well...

I use both silver and white. Depends on the cover. The silver inkjet gives it a 3d/halographic look. Looks pretty cool. The white looks like the original disc.

The reason I'm so pressed for the Silver Hub's are because sometimes with the White Hub's, the outer edge of the disc shows some white trim. That does not look cool and it looks bootleg. What is your experience with that if any, and what software are you using for your results.
I have a Canon IP6600D Photo Printer with 9600 dpi x 2400 dpi color. I had to hack the print CD tray which was disable by Canon, so I also bought a CD print tray from Ebay. I'm using "CD Label Print 1.2" software. I have nero but I have not as yet tried the cd labeling function.

I use a epson R340. Just got some white hub printables yesterday and tried 2 hours ago.
I must say it looks really close to the original (which is what I'm looking for) disc.
No I did not notice any white on the outer edge. I did at first then I set the outer perimeter. It is gone now.
I am using epson Print Cd software that it came with.

I have the epson and use the printcd software that came with it. I'm not fimilar w/ CD Label Print 1.2 software but I would think you can set the outer diameter up a mm or 2 like epson's.
Like talonman I just played with the settings and no more white spots!
I have my TY's set at 21 inner and 119 outer.

Holleyron thats where the Epson has the Canon beat. The Epson software will allow adjustment of the ouside diameter to 120-mm so you can adjust it to leave no white ring.The Canon software wont adjust past 118-mm.Try the discus software it allows adjustment past 118-mm and is the most user friendly it's not free though.

Yep not being able to go past 118mm would be the problem for the white area at the edge. Every type of disc though can have different settings so you just need to play w/ it a bit then save the setting.
Let's us know how it goes!

Well everyone,
I have found the solution I came across this Software called Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker 2.47. It's the bomb software. It supports all photo printers and their unique formats (Canon, Epson, Ace, APLI, Avery, Belkin, Boma, Burlington, Canson, Herma, HP, IBM, Imation, Maxell, Memorsuck, Microboards, Premira, Verbatim etc.)!!!!!!!!!!
This software can print wherever you want to print! I mean you are the pimp with this software. Try it!
