so what you are saying is that the movies that you are copying or backing up are not your's right? you have to take them back to the video store if i am right you are only to back up the movies that you own right? so what you posted was (i dont have time i get movies early and dont have time to try both) you have to get the movie back to the video store so they can rent to other people by tuesday? am i right or what? we are to post what movies that we own that we have had luck with right, as far as copy proction or any thing else like invalid dvd structure and so on, please tell me if i am wrong! but thanks anyway for the post good luck

anydvd: Don't have time?
You have AnyDVD already. All you have to do is right-click on the little fox icon in the lower utility tray/click disable/and try a ripping. That's it! My first attempt is always with AnyDVD disabled.2 clicks and AnyDVD is on again.
If AnyDVD is needed,DVD Shrink will usually either freeze up while you open it up/during the intitial analyzing-via crc error/or the dragging main movie title over.Very rarely will it get past the dragging main movie over part.
Only a couple mins extra tops. I've got 3 pcs. My main pc has AnyDVD,other 2 are just dvd burning purposes only.

rdmercer has hit the nail on the head. Quit posting your weekly pirated movie list. We all know that AnyDVD with clone2 or shrink copies everything. Same old posts every week.

Holymonk,
Thanks for your comments! Please keep writing them. If the smart A's don't like your comments, they can avoid reading your posts. As for me and others, we appreciate your help. I'd like to know what to expect before I start to backup a DVD.

all i was saying is about what you wrote (sounded like you were an employee) and had to get the movies back so they could be put back on the shelves, for rental, do you understand how that would look if someone looked at your post ? it is no big deal to me what you do but if we are not to post about backing up movies that we don't own, it just looked bad as what you had posted ok?

@mort
The opening post was something like..."I backed up this weeks new releases(can't remember the names) using only AnyDVD and DVD Shrink, and for those of you who want me to try it with only DVD Shrink I don't have time to get the movies early and try different methods..."
Or something like that. LOL

Just like last weeks posting of new releases ,here's my verdict:
Doom and Wallace & Gromit do not need anydvd activated. Dvd shrink will rip those 2 all by its lonesome. Don't even need dvd43 either.
Bambi 2 did need anydvd activated. Dvd shrink would analyze it,but when you tried to re-author: The background would gray out and freeze.When I tried it in my main pc,the initial quick analyzation said it would take over 18 mins so I clicked out of it. I then activated anydvd and dvd shrink ripped it like a normal dvd.
All my originals are Full Frame only and Region 1.

holymonk, your second post is more wacked than first one. The thing that i don't understand about holymonks fan club is if you have AnyDVD you would know that it copies 100% of the movies with clone2 or shrink and if you don't have AnyDVD, what's he really telling you?????

Thats not always the case. I have had some early releases that Any-dvd would not do until an update.

@Jizmak
I agree completely, but he needs to use a method that doesn't involve pay programs that not everyone has the money to buy or people don't even need to use...see saugmons last post.
@JOHNSTARR
Thank you very much...
@paiger651
When AnyDVD doesn't make a backup possible, that is when we all get together to figure out away around the latest protection...or wait on the update.

AnyDVD can only produce an update if they know there is a problem. Sometimes those who get early releases and encounter probs send slysoft the ifo files, and the update comes out before public release. Otherwise, it will come later, but slysoft is so on the ball the wait is not that long.
