hi. my problem is that I copy "the chronicles of narnia" to a dvd, and when i trying to play it on my dvd player the screen goes bouncing in white and black with the movie playing, but in my XBOX will play great. i'm gonna tell you what I did.

1. of course download the movie. the movie was in avi format
2. I use VSODivxToDVD to convert it to dvd format.
3. then use dvd shrink
4. copy to dvd

thanks in advance

Sounds like you my have converted the AVI movie to PAL format when using VSODivxToDVD.

Check and see what the settings are set to in VSODivxTODVD and if it is set to output a PAL movie then that is more then likly your problem. You need to output it to an NTSC format.

Your Xbox is probably set to force PAL (games & Movies) to play in NTSC format. SO that is why your Xbox will play it.

Your Standalone DVD player is probably not PAL compatible so it will play in B&W and have horizantel lines and be jumpy.

So you will need to convert the AVI file again and this time make sure you have it set to output an NTSC DVD not PAL.

Im 100% sure this is what your problem is.

Also next time you make a title for your Thread please be more specific what the problem is instead of saying (i need some help please) that way it will be easy for members to know if they can help or not on the problem without clicking the thread to find out what the problem is.

Dont worry about the title I was just giving you the advice because you would be suprised on how many will just skip right over a title like that and not even read it. Also it is agaisnt the rules to have a title like that. Just giving you a heads up for next time you post. Hope you find the site as helpfull as I have when I first started out. Alot of knowledge and help here.
