i seem to be having a problem with madagascar. everytime i try to shrink it down with dvd shrink, i get a message that states the following "dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, invalid data in file "C:\DVD WORKS\madagascar\VTS_08_1.V08"

dvd works is just the name of the file that i have all of my backups saved to. then when i try to re-author the movie it only gives me all of the extra features. i do have the movie on the computer, i can get it to play in my windvd program. what should i try to do?? i would like to keep all of the extra features, my daughter likes to go through those things!!!!! thanks everyone.

As philraz run it thru VOB blanker. Make sure you are using the latest programs to rip the disc to your hd. With the latest dvdfab decrypter this is no need to run it thru vobblanker b/4 processing thru shrink w/ madagascar.
Another good investment would be AnyDVD & CloneDVD - nothing this combo can't beat right now + $10 off for aD members.

VOBblanker is kind of almost pointless for this movie, I used it but it's not completly necessary. VOB won't help you with this, not at the stage you are at anyways. The problem you are getting is that it's a new encryption. So first you have to rip it then run it through Shrink, or Rip it then run it through VOB to get rid of some crap that only does harm then Shrink it. So here is my method:

Rip with DVDFAB (free) then Vobblanker then Shrink.

but remember, you don't HAVE to have VOB.

To answer your last question just use the deafault settings in VOB. For inputfile select the folder you ripped it to. If you used DVDFAB like I did then default folder will be DVDFabdecrypter_temp. Set this as your input. For your output make a new folder, I named mine NEWVOB. Then just hit process.
