Hi there,

What movie is it ?

Maybe you have a new movie, with one of the latest protection, and it's having a hard time to deal with it ?

My 2 cents...

@jerdog1
Do you have shrink set in low priority mode (to check click on edit>preference tab) or have deep analysis checked?
Shrink can't handle Hitch alone - needs something like AnyDVD - can't remember about 40 year old virgin, Jackie Brown should be fine w/ shrink alone.

I think I might know what the problem is. I think I don't have enough space or room on my hardrive. i have two hardrives but the one I use for shrink is pretty full. would this cause problems? thanks in advance.

Could slow things down a bit. Clear up some space, do a disc cleanup and a defrag. Let's us know how it turns out!

Did a defrag and all that + how about the settings in shrink? Internal or external hd or how about your burner?

i checked the settings in shrink, my hardrives are internal, and the c" has about 2 gigs left, so probably enough room. could be my burner? I bought it about 2 years ago i/o magic I think.

If c is what your ripping to - 2 gig is not nearly enuf - need at least 5 gig + (11 + is recommended). Run a scan for spyware/viruses - this can slow you down too.

hi there! if your using DVD Shrink to copy your film on the hardrive make sure you remove the check marks in quality setting it will reduce the time by half if not more,

the other thing you might want to check is the dma make sure it's enabled on your hard drives

try another program if all fails

good luck
