I have been able to successfully rip the audio from a music video dvd into ac3 files using SmartRipper, one is 187 mb and the other is 380 mb. Then I treid to use both px3 convert and also headac3he to convert them to wav/mp3. The files end up being over a gigabyte or two each. The audio is around two hours long. How can I get the small ac3 files over to an audio cd?

You now have discovered why the DVD Audio people were not interested in any sort of "watermark" or "blocking" program. The information is to large for a single CD copy.

Best of Luck !!

Why don't you collect a bunch of the ac3 files and burn them to DVD you can use nero wave edit to convert to wav or mp3 take this file and then convert the wav or mp3 file to ac3 with menus in ulead video studio 8, this however requires that you have win millennium installed on your computer as ulead video studio 8 would only convert the audio into a DVD compliant stream with AC3 (you should go to the Ulead web sight to get the ac3 audio pack for videostudio 8) audio in win millennium, and the ac3 is only in sterio but this is a start and may give you some other ideas. It takes some time to learn how to do this with Videostudio 8 a lot of trial and error. Using DVD Workshop in windows XP I have been able to take the dvd video compliant files I created with videostudio 8 and create a menu system that includes the ability to name all the songs and play individual songs from the dvd or play entire albums or play the entire disk as one entire album.

My 4.7 gb dvd had over 20 hours of ac3 audio which I ripped from both audio cd's and music video dvd's with a full menuing system. Took a while to create but the results were spectacular.

I hope this is some help. Good Luck.
