I have a TDK DVDRW420N, and I'm using either Primo Prassi or RecordNow MAX, but neithe rof these recognize the driver as a burner. They both see it as a DVD-ROM. Nero recognizes it as one however. (I could just stick with Nero, but I've read that Prassi/RecordNow are the best for burning PS2 backups.
 Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got Prassi Prismo when I bought my Pioneer 104 many moons ago and found it to be absolutely sh*t at doing anything.
I switched to updating Nero and trying that, I've not had to even think about getting a different burning prog since because I dont have any problems.

Using Nero 5.5.9.9. at the moment and it's not broken so I still dont need to fix...

I must admit that I dont or haven't as yet done any PS2 back ups.
I use UDF/IFO mode in Nero & I believe that PS2 games have a better compatiblity under ISO mode.

Hope I've helped in some small way.

 Peace

All burning software has a comptabilty problem.
100% success with burning DVD Videos using Nero so far...I'll update as to when I have that failure !: )

The compatability problems are usually stand alone player or cheap media problems in my experience although not everything can be attributed to these factors.

 Only my opinion !!

							sheppy124 has a point.
DLA is Drive letter access, it basically means you can drag and drop just like the hd/floppy etc.

It caused me misery so I uninstalled and re-installed without it.

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down

Have you checked the Veritas website as there is an update for Prassi which uses the same
burning engine as RecordNow Max. Ive got a Pioneer A05 and it wouldn't recognise that until I installed the update. Personally, I would try every way possible to get RecordNow Max working as it is a great piece of software.

I'd just like to reiterate that AheadNero do updates all the time & are there when you need them : )

Plus Nero is the easiest of all to use...
