I live in Australia, Queensland to be precise. Each summer it gets well over the 100degree mark nearly every day.

With that message to tell ddp to stick it, and slamming his name, thats not the way to act here and get your way.. Its not needed if you knew how to debate properly. Im not in a debate team and never have been, but ive argued with many ppl before. If they are civilized they will respond to logic. Uncivilized they respond to violence. We like to be civilized here, and name calling is only logical if you want to fight or goad the other into fighting. Ddp doesnt have to fight here. Hes probably fighting the urge to ban your as*. My only stake in all this is to try to get thru to you logically before you get banned. I dont even know you, just trying to help.

Wow!.....ammmmh.....that was certainly not wise to say the least. Ozzymary you are obviously incensed and though you are angry for the reason you mentioned, you have just become a Senior which embodies some degree of responsibility. If that doesn't mean much to you right now then try to exercise restraint if not for yourself then for your 2 kids. You are obviously a responsible adult so try to do the right thing. It's hard I know but no point in standing in front of a moving train because the driver offended you. You have vented and even though it might be a truncated expression of your anger does it make sense to cut off you nose to spite your face as the only person who stands to lose(if being at AD matters to you) is you. If you need to cool off then just take some time off. I'm not saying that you should roll over & play dead but just use more brain than brawn. You have come this far; don't throw it all away. We all hear you loud and clear but I think that in your anger you have said some things which are unpleasant and I'd like to think that if the circumstances were different that you would retract them and probably apologise. Be that as it may, I am appealing to you to just take a step back form this, cool off and when you are composed come back and deal with it in a better way. You obviously enjoy being here so just give it some thought, OK. Cheers mate.

You didn't tell me you had an adolescent masquerading as an adult OR perhaps an adult with an elementary school education ~ Naaah, even an adult would have a better grasp of our language through contact with others.
I haven't seen such poor spelling / grammar from anyone in so long, I'd almost forgotten how poorly educated some of our children truly are.
What bothers me, our little whinny baby has a tag of a ?Senior Member?. There was a time when the tag of Senior was worth something, it was an ?earned? thing. - AD has truly digressed. Who knows, someday, when he/she grows up, they might even hold a public office. Thank God I'll be dead by then :)

Just a thought but could it be that English is not Ozzymary's primary language. Ozzy once in awhile I actually make sense so I wouldn't advice you to listen to me too often ;-) This once shouldn't hurt you too much.

Actually, the fact of English being her / his second language never occurred to me. LQQking at her / his computer "shorthand" - it is of an English speaking adolescent. I judge the age because pple whose native tongue is different won't misspell words as our little friend does. Take the word "dum" - someone learning English OR an adult would use the proper spelling, "Dumb". A "poor" student, attending perhaps 10th grade (on their way to being shuttled up and out) will not bother to lQQkup the word and will misspell it. I'm saying 10th grade to be generous. Anyone with a higher education should sue their parents and their school board for turning them lose on the public with such poor fundamental tools.

Welcome back ScubaP. I suspect that you are feeling much better because you're certainly off to a flying start. I'm trying not to be judgemental. Frankly I don't really know if you're right or not but an angry man is well.....an angry man and I'm trying to diffuse an uneasy situation. It's good to see you posting again and even though I'm a noob compared to you I've seen your posts and even in other threads where others have enquired about you so you are no stranger to me. It's good to hear from you. The names may have changed but rest assured that the legacy of AD lives on and remains strong. I honestly don't believe that this is not only my myoptic observation because there are a lot of really good people here that more than makes coming here a worthwhile experience.

You are indeed a fair and very good mod. I say this as i would have baned ozzymary once they violated another rule after being warned, and you just closed the thread instead. It does need closing. You sir or madam have my respect as does any mod. They dont have to earn it, they already have done that.
