I have a PSP version 2.6. I've been playing homebrews using the GTA Save game exploit, mainly SNES roms. I downloaded the new SNES9x Tyl; the user mode version, but i cannot seem to get it to run properly. It starts, but soon after it says that there has been a "memory stick read error" (or something to that extent) it freezes then my PSP shuts down. If anyone could tell me how to install this emulator or if maybe my roms are supposed to be placed somewhere else or if anyone who has encountered this problem before could help me fix it, I would be very thankful. Thanks in advance for any help.
The TYL version only works with 1.5 and 2.0 if I'm not mistaken, there is another SNES emulator that just came out that will run with 2.01+ but it isn't as good.
No, the people that created the original SNES9X TYL emulator created one that would run in user mode so that it could be used on 2.6 PSPs. Check PSP-hacks.com its there, just look for it.
Sorry but i dont have your version psp, all i can tell you is Roms can be placed anywhere, maybe you should try the other Snes Emu first see if that one worx,
I found this at psp-hacks.com

Also - it?s been confirmed this emulator DOES NOT work on firmware 2.01+
To achieve optimal performance, use firmware 1.0 or 1.50 with this Super Nintendo emulator.
Although reading some of the comments some people said they got it to work on their 2.6 but it freezes half the time.
