Hey guys I had my psp firm v1.5 for awhile now and I'm kinda tired of it and want to upgrade to at least v2.0 or 2.6 anything I can still keep my snes roms and my ISOs working after upgrading?

No u cant mate, i would advise u to stay on 1.50 if u wanna play ISO,s.
U can still play homebrew on 2.00 -> 2.60 but not ISO,s.

can u only use snes if u have gta version 2.6

U can use Snes on any firmware other than 2.70.
If your firmware is 2.00 use the TIFF exploit.
2.01 -> 2.60 use the GTA exploit.

You can surely mate! DJEN is the most popular one but its riddled with bugs and crashes some of the time. All the links to the emulators can be found on the first page of this thread. ;)

I just screwed myself over for upgrading to 2.7, didnt I?
Lol I wanted the swf capability, but now I lost being able to do the GTA exploit right?

Haha. Its cool though. I saw my friend had 2.7 on his, and it had swf functions, so I took a dive.
Ive been reading around though, and read about the mod chip. Now THATS what Im waiting for. :D

I am completely new at this, but how do you :
UNCHECK TIFF,
CHECK GTA,
UNCHECK ALL BUT THE REGION YOU BELONG TO,
CHECK DEFAULT MENU.
I have firmware 2.01, I also have GTA:LCS, I have downloaded the emulators and some Roms.
God Help me I am a noob

Yes, I am running windows so I can use the auto installer. I did that and put the roms in the folders like you said. I saved a game in 2007 and reset the date back to 2006. I didn't do anything else since I didn't know how to uncheck the tiff etc.
God Help me I am a noob

Connect ur PSP to the computer run the eloader exe, click the small arrow in the SELECT TYPE OF INSTALL box, and pick what ever suits your region, european, american, german then click next. Then install.

I am sorry I don't see what you are talking about. I run the auto installer and all I see is it asks for full or custom install and the only check box has install emenu.

I think I don't have the eloader .97. I thought I downloaded all I needed. Will have to wait 9 or 10 hours till I can download it at work. Will check back with ya after I do that.

I went ahead and unchecked figuring I could delete and reinstall if needed. Looks to be ok, can't find my roms though. I am not sure if I have the right roms.
