I recently have been burning dvds using DVD Shrink to shrink and either dvd decrypter or nero to burn them. I have been using memorex, fuji, and tdk media + and -. I burn at 2.0X. It doesnt matter what brand of media i use, but they play back fine in my computer, playstation and portable dvd player which i just recently bought. The DVD will skip and freeze in my dvd player. I dont quite remember exactly how old the dvd player is, but its probably a good 2-4 years old. Could this be the problem? maybe it doesnt read burned dvds well. what do you think?

try cleaning the laser on your dvd player but it could just be your dvd players is past its use by date
