I have a large ammount of Scenic video DVDs(no sound). Is there any way to simply Extract each MPEG2 Title from multiple VOBs? Each "Title" is about 1 hour in length.
Best I could come up with (using trial versions) is:
CloneDVD2 To customize the stream down to about 1 gig. per hour.
Takes less than 10 minutes
Videoredo in theory does exactly what I want. But, in preview, it says I have a 2min video. Then the output file is a 40 minute MPEG2 with the end of the video at the begining, And thats just 1 vob imagine 6!
I'm back to hooking up a stand-alone DVD player to a capture card. Then recapturing each DVD (hundreds) into MPEG2. Isn't it already MPEG2? Shouldn't I be able to extract MPEG2 from a VOB almost as quickly as a 2gig copy/paste?

I emailed videoredo and they replied same day! They let me in on a feature under tools called "QuickStream Fix". With this you load up your .VOB files and pop out a few different file types to work with including mpeg.
So now I copy my DVD to the hard drive using CloneDVD2. This lets me choose my output size, and never takes more than 15 minutes for 2 hours.
Then I extract .MPG files using VideoReDo Plus. Simple as TOOLS/QuickStream Fix. After that all you do is select input and output location & go. Normally takes half the time Clone did on the first step.
A 2 hour Mpeg in whatever size VS quality ratio you want, easily opened and edited on any timeline, in less than a half hour.
