Hello,
I've been trying to burn some dvd backups with dvd shrink but are having some trouble. I have burnt some dvds but not others, at the end of the burning process sometimes a message comes up. I forget exactly what it says (I'll try and check) but it basically says it encountered a copy protection error, I thought dvd shrink could overcome those type of protection measures. And when it does this my disk never has anything burnt onto it when you look at it, but I can't use the disk anymore when I try to burn again as if its wasted my dvd. I'm using nero with dvd shrink and just downloaded a trial version of clone cd that I am going to try with the program instead. Anyone got any ideas, I'm still new to this program and have only just started to attempt making backups and very much still a beginner at it.

Welcome to the forum. Shrink has not been updated in over 2 years so the decryption algorithim that is used is not up to date and will not be updated. Below is a guide that used all freeware. Read the guide and then do it exactly like BBmayo says to do it and you should have no problems. You might have to D/L another free program like VobBlanker but it is simple to use.
