Hey Alkohol.. When processing Stealth...did the compressed copy of it had a capacity of 3.66GB instead of the usual 4.35GB? I passed it thru VOV Blanker because if I go to Shrink, it will show an over size and will still be oversized if i unckech stuff out. Then it will just process half the movie....but I took care of that. The movie plays fine but I thought it was just weird how it only came up to 3.66GB. I may have blanked more stuff than needed, What do you think?

@MR1234

If all you did was set your (1) "input folder = your ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file from DVDFAB Decrypter, (2) output folder = your new VIDEO_TS folder", (3) hit "PROCESS" with VobBlanker 2.1.0.0 and you didn't "blank" out anything at all, then your final size (GB) of STEALTH should be similar/the same size (GB) as the original when you're done ripping with DVDFAB Decrypter. It may be a few KB/MB off, only because VobBlanker "process" and "filter" out any left over junks, craps, dummy cells, fake encrypted sectors that's all.

And if you're transcoding/compress a "full disc", then your final VIDEO_TS or ISO that DVD Shrink created should be somewhere 4.3GB. Unless otherwise you specified or did a "re-author" for the Main Movie only. In that case, this may be your final result of 3.66GB from the Main Movie?

To be honest, I'm a "full disc" person, I like to have a menu, some stuff from the original disc, but NOT all of them. However, I always "blank out" those 2 annoying FBI Warnings, plus a few "useless pgcs, unwanted previews, preview logos, etc." My results is(are) always a few MB off from the original size, but that shouldn't matter.

Out of curiosity, what's your custom MB size from DVD Shrink? I've always customize mine to 4440MB (for full disc backup) with both DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 because I want to keep the "compression %" as low as possible. Furthermore, I only use Taiyo Yuden and Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi) media, so that shouldn't effected the media edges regardless, unless I went beyond 4465MB. DVD Shrink and Nero Recode 2's "default" MB size is 4465MB (which I believe). With that being said, I usually go just a little lower the default size just to be safe that's all.

In contrast, if you're using high quality media like genuine Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo or datalife plus" and Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi), then you shouldn't NEVER have to worry with 4440MB at all.

Best of lucks and happy burning!!
