HI

Just bought lightscribe DVD. Using nero 6.3 all works play dvd and burn dvd - not lightscribe yet.

Upgrade to Nero as per disk in box of l/s dvd and on playback all dvds are choppy even old ones. Second dvd does the same thing but can still record ok.

Have XP 2.8G machine 2 gig ram Dell Dimension 3000.

Drive C main and drive F backup + stiffy. Both other DVDrw or on separate cable lightscribe set as MA and other as slave.

When I retore to previous version of Nero everything works fine - bat alas no lightscribe option Help Help Help or I will hand it back.

Nero v6.6 seems to be the problem!!!!!!

Also if you're going to swop about with Nero programs? It's worthwhile using the Nero clean/removal tool from time, to time.

Thanks for the advice - I am no techie, and I will have a go.

Will I damage/change the drives by updating the firmware, I get really scared about dowloading stuff.
