i have 2 disks each with 2.5 gig. its a play on 2 disks. i know that i need to compress each to 95% to fit on 1 dvd. how do i get the tracks from each onto 1? how do i get an index of both into 1 to read by a regular dvd player. thanks for the help.

Rip both discs to your HDD. Open DVD Shrink, click on Reathor and then open the DVD Browser, browse to the movies you want to add, double click each one to add it to the left side for editing, remove any audio and subtitles you don't want and backup. You may have to use the Deep Analysis and AEC controls if the compression is high.

http://dvdshrink.info/reauthor_basic.php is a guide, but the same thing LOCOENG said. I might be wrong, but I think you only have to rip one of the DVDs to your hard drive, and add the other one from your DVD drive.

**Actually if you had 2 dvd drives, you wouldn't have to rip any. Just thought I'd add that.

I think you could do it that way, but I always rip to HDD first anyway...just a habit I guess.
