I think i ave afew aplogies to make! ;).
I was a big fan of PSPWARE it was just the simplicty of it all that i liked...but i went ahead and downloaded PSPvideo9 just for a look, it was easy to work with but not as easy as PSPWARE i ave to say. So i did a test with a movie on both software and there was a clear difference between the two, AVC is by far the best, smaller file size better picture! PSPWARE looked very blockie (lol)even with the bigger file size and bit rate. I would say 80% of users here work with PSPvideo9 am now 1 of them! So let me know what ya,s think!
MMmm...
Its some of the settings on PSPvideo9 that bugs me, (heres where the pros come in)! I cant get the movie to fill the screen! I keep getting the letterbox, AVC/320x240/384KBPS/STEREO/128KBPS aspect ratio 1.1 also when finished and i check the info on the PSP AAC CODEC is 64kbps? What am i doin wrong?

LOL i remember that day, you telling me to use PSPware :),

Well It depends what your encoding, have you read this? http://www.pspvideo9.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=850
Also i know this sounds abit silly but when youve changed all your settings you have to click the save settings button its right in the corner and hard to see, if youve got the wrong resolution set.
I didnt see it when i had 800x600 on my desktop but it appears at 1024x768
AVC is much better than SP but i dont want to upgrade and downgrade again. Supposedly theres a special 1.5 media edition firmware which has the AVC codec but i cant boot it with firmware launcher.

Ok heres what i found out
I encoded firstly in AVC at 368x208 rez
Got the letterbox and no matter what i did couldnt get rid of it
Then i encoded in SP 368 x 208 rez
got the letterbox couldnt do anything either
Then i encoded Conan the barbarian in SP 320x240/29/97(highest settings)
Got letterbox BUT when i go to Zoom mode it becomes fullscreen!!
ended up being 920 mb

Sometimes to keep things peaceful you need a Piece thats Full

Back again, i give up on conan, am sick to me balls tryin to figure that out, so i picked another of my dvds, it said on the back 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen loaded it up anyway to vid9 with this profile i made: AVC>CBR / RES:320x240 / BITRATE:384KBPS / ASPECT:16.9 / AUDIO:160KBPS / SAMPLE RATE:48000 Hz / VOL:500%. The film fills the screen in normal mode which is great, but the audio rates must be mixed up cause on the info menu on psp the AAC codec is 128kbps, if u convert with 96kbps the codec is 64kbps...? Any ideas piece, yours doin that?
