Just a quick question...When DVD43 detects a DVD in my drive and removes the CSS, region code, etc...can I just shrink the
dvd immediatelly following the operation? Or, do I still have to run it through DVD Decrypter? Just thought I's ask.

Or if you use Nero just open up Recode and it will even burn for you in one click!!! (If you have 2 drives that is)
Do the discs say not encrypted when you start the process? It's skipping the DVD Decrypter step, thats it's job. Fire back if any other questions.

Thanks Deadrum33. I was just curious since some of the posts I've read talk about getting DVD43. I guess it won't hurt.....much!!

I've also read that it may be a free program (I think) but doesn't update itself often and is a pain with other programs and makes your computer freeze up sometimes. I dont use it, just what i heard. If you want a program like this, get the 21 day trial for AnyDVD. Then when you love it and you will spend a few bucks on it.

I used to use DVD43 and now i use AnyDVD. It is updated constantly, so it always works for me. DVD43 was updated recently to handle some of the Arcoos crap, but it had a long period of no updates. AnyDVD is well worth the cost as it makes backing up DVDs effortless. Many times i dont extract to HD, just shrink from DVD as programs will see the disc as un-encrypted once AnyDVD does its thing.

hey guys, im new here. so im just wondering if you can help me with something here.
i got DVD43, and it was working fine for me, but now i can't decrypt some movies, i had already 3 dvds which DVD43 can't decrypt. I've tried different software, incl AnyDVD etc... doesn't help...i googled many wb sites, and tried several trial editions...but still nothing. Im sure there's the way to unprotect them--i just don't know how, or what software to use. need something stronger than DVD43.
thanks alot!

@kulyaka

If you want freeware, then get the following programs, I've been using them and it worked flawlessly.

<><> for rippers <><>
<> DVDFAB Decrypter (one of the greatest free ripper now), http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
<> PgcEdit + PSL plugins Wizard + FixVTS + DVD Decrypter
<> DVD Decrypter (alone) still rip and decrypt at 95% (it will still rip RipGuard's protection, but can not handle ARccOS, unless you have PSL plugin), you may need to process the VIDEO_TS file with FixVTS or VobBlanker to make it more compatible with DVD Shrink and Nero Recode 2.

<><> for craps/junks, dummy cells/pgcs & encrypted sectors cleaner <><>
<> VobBlanker
<> FixVTS

For more info on how to use these great free programs and where to get them, check out those 2 bold links under my sig.
