Need an urgent advise. Currently in Japan, about to leave tomorrow.
I wanted to buy a PSP here but the guy at the store said the PSP's he has are Japan-only version and will not work with forign games...
Can anyone confirm this? Don't any PSP run any PSP game?

Should I buy it or not?

So basically I'm ok with the Japanese PSP if the region in my country is the same (2) as in Japan for movies, and all games should work on all PSP's?
He was saying something about a non world-wide version and that as system version advance, they become more restrictive regarding regions... doe's he know what's he talking about?

yes he does your jap version can play all games from all regions now but who can see the future, they are bound to region lock games.

PS i live in Australia i have a jap psp i can sumhow play australian region movies fine, havent tried jap one. this prob doesnt apply to u tho

I don't know whether to buy it or not....the price is OK but I live in Israel and I'm not sure if it will work with games from there...
(Israel is zone 2 like Europe and Japan, but that is probably not related to the games issue).

if its cheaper, you should buy it cos you could always sell it later on ebay or wherever.
