I just got a new computer with a Lightscribe burner and was wondering if anybody can recommend any programs to use for the labeling portion.

I have Sonic Express Labeler, but am wondering if that will work, and if so, is it any good?

Also, I already have some Verbatim Lightscribe discs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you got an HP computer. I also have an HP as well as my dad with the lightscribe.

The sonic express labeler program gives me an error, but works perfect in my dads pc. Both identical pcs.

First of all,I don't know what kind of art you want to put on them.I can help you with original movie covers. Go here to find some covers to download:

http://covers.to/index.php

Make a folder in My Pictures called DVD covers. Got to covers.to and locate some covers that you like and they do have a ton of them. Let it open up the save picture as to your cover folder.

1)Open up express labeler-it'll give a warning about paper labels causing damage, just ignore.

2) You'll see a disc template screen. Step 1 you need disc label shaded, not jewel case or the other option.

3) Step 2, this is where you have your art.If you want to dig one of those covers that you downloaded from covers.to,then click on Background/more and find your dvd covers folder and locate the cover that you want. You may have to drag the cover so it covers that template completely.Or you can find a picture or something else that you put in it. You can even print some words to go onto that label along with your picture.

4) Insert your lightscribe disc and make sure the scribe side is facing down.

5)Click print/make sure all those settings are correct like your light scribe burner is the target and that's all she wrote. If you want to get a better etching, then you can run it through again a second time. That already sized cover can be saved in case you may want another copy later on.Takes about 30 mins.Somewhere in there should be a box to make sure it is ticked for lightscribe.

That express labeler program gives me an error when I try to print. I use sonic's Sure Thing cd labeler 4 SE. It works exactly the same way.
