Rip the steering wheel out to start with...
It's a good one, but won't go any faster than the car... Then scrap the hearse and get yourself a nice japanese sports car...
Refit the steering wheel...
Any doubt, just ask... LOL!!

Driving -- Right Side of the Road

Why do people in some countries drive on the right side of the road and others on the left? According to RQ, Spring, 1984, two explanations have been offered. Carol Greene, the author of Enchantment of the World: England, stated that the British way of driving on the left side of the road is a carryover from the days when men rode horseback and used swords. In a combat situation, the sword was drawn from the left side and wielded on the right. Apparently, when automobiles were invented, the custom of staying on the left persisted.

Another explanation of this practice derives from the use of horse-drawn vehicles. To pass each other on the narrow roads, the driver positioned his vehicle so that he could see the edges of the vehicles, especially the hubs of the wheels that projected and were most likely to snag each other. Continental practice was to have two or four horse teams driven by postilions, i.e., a rider sitting on the lead horse and controlling it directly with reins. In order to have optimal control, the postilion sat on the left leader, as most people are right-handed and the postilion would have been in control of the other horse on his right. The postilion would therefore have a poor view looking back over his team and any vehicle to his right, but a good view of any vehicle on his left. Therefore Continental (particularly French) practice was for vehicles approaching each other to take the right side of the road. British stagecoach teams, on the other hand, were invariably driven by a man from the top of the vehicle at the front. His position would seem to be less critical, but practice seems always to have been that he sat on the right side and had a good view of the side of his own vehicle if approaching vehicles passed on that side. Hence English practice was to pass on the left, i.e., to take the left side of the road. British practice was invariably followed in empire countries, and still is in India and many other South Asian countries. Canada did not change from left to right rule of the road until the 1920s. Sweden seems to have been the exception to the Continental rule, as it drove to the left until the 1960s or 1970s.

once i drove a car with the steering wheel in the middle of the car..
i can not think of the name of the car..

driving with a left or right side steering wheel was no problem for me..its the small roads that drove me nuts when i go home in ireland
for a visit..i now live in the states..where the roads look a mile wide to me..

The version I know of is very similar to above, but that you "rode" on the left as you could see the right arm was free of weaponery

So us Brits, Aussies & Japanese (The weapon theory could hold true for the Samurais etc too!) are all correct & all you hethens are wrong! LOL!!

you need the body kit for the side and the bonnet.a cd/mp3 player a couple of 6inch speakers for the front couple of 6'9s for the back and a subwoofer in the boot.17inch rims would look good.customised paintjob.sports air filter and exhaust.

my m8 had a vn 4door sedan and he converted it to 5speed manual, fitted sports 2inch exhaust and sports air filter,3 hsv chips .metallic blue body kit and a cool sterio system and a momo steering wheel.

it depends on what you want to do with the car and your budget.for around $2000 or less you could have your own in car dvd player.

my car:

my only mod so far is blue valve stem covers and ripping apart the dash the other day to disconnect the daytime running lights. lol, it's the perfect sleeper, and nothing gonna happen but a 2 1/2 inch exhaust and cold air intake until all the warranties run out :D

Phoenix: i agree with everyone else--mod the hell out of the car. it's a great base to work with XD

My concept of modding a car is to do it under the bonnet alone... In UK just having a nice set of wheels in your car is enough to have it nicked... Keep it under the bonnet and you're safe... Tart the car up and you'll have nothing but headaches with those tea leaves...
Recently i had my stereo nicked, it didn't even have the facia on... But they still smash and grabbed it...

People in uk do a lot of engine upgrades, like a Calibra 2.0l turbo engine into a Corsa... Tune the bast'd and you're left with 200bhp at the wheels... As quick as a 911 to 120mph... And of course, all under the bonnet! Just a thought.

Start with some stickers. The windows look a little drab. You should spruce that a up a little.

I've never been into moddin' cars, if I turned up at work with a car modded when I was an apprentice engineer, everyone would have laughed!
I agree with permiggs on this one, do it all under the bonnet & possibly tickle the suspension.
I prefer to have a bigger engined car, 2 litre instead of 1.6. I laugh at "boy racers", each to their own I guess.
If I modded I would want a large V8 diesel (3 or 4 litre), with a supercharger for instant kick. They are kinder to the engines than turbos. I like reliabilty over top performance. Also, you cannot over-rev a diesel due to its' governor!
