ive got a movie and its in vob format but when i go to load the files into dvdd shrink it comes up with a warnin saying invaild data in file C:\documants and settings\gangsta\desktop\new folder(2)\video_ts\vts_09_01.vob

any idea why this happens

Convert the VOB files to DVD format and that should fix your problem.

How did you get the movie in your computer, what did you use for ripp? It colud be corrupted Vob. Try running it throug VobBlanker or FixVts.
ADDED: I think that is what he is trying to do, to put them on a DVD!

im just burning it with Nero burning rom so if that cums out alright then everythings ok.
i used shrink to 5 to rip the dvd as its a red dvd and dvdshrink cant shrink the disc enough so i used shrink to 5 then i was gonna use dvdshrink to encode it and turn it into a iso so i can burn it with dvd decrypter

ok i burned it with Nero and it worked but damn you can see every pixel really badly so it looks like i'm gonna have to rework it

That can be improved by using a better media, change the quality settings when you encode,maybe burning speed...

As suggested use the quality enhancements in Recode, and if you are using 16X verbs try burning at 8X.
