How come PSP Video 9 doesnt work for a few people

Ive been trying to download movies onto my memory stick doing the normal way of downloading mp4 format movies and just renaming them M4V00001 and stuff. But now when i try downloading longer videos it says my file data is not supported so i downloaded psp video 9. as soon as i converted my video, it says i have to plug my psp in even though it is plugged in. then i tried moving the movie into the 100MNV01 folder but it says you cant do it. How the helll do you work psp video 9 with this problem?

O.k. instead of me telling you all the settings tell me does it say that the psp wasn't found when you first downloaded it?

Because that is where you need to change it.

Uninstal it and reinstal it from the site. before you click off any programs after you plug in the psp, turn on the video9 tell me what it says.

no what i mean is go to where is says uninstal.

uninstal it.

then go to http://www.pspvideo9.com

then download it again. ;)

Does your computer detect the removable disk? (if it isnt detected by your comp 1st its not a video9 issue)
If detected then go to the setup tab in video9 and look for the setting
PSP drive click "auto find" a box should pop up saying psp found.
if it says "psp not found" read the page carefully and go to your comp and create folders exactly with the names in the popup window that i told you to read carefully, Now click "manually specify psp directory" in video9 and go down the drop down window to find your psp.
PS. Firmware 1.5 psps cannot run AVC codec threfore you should encode in SP if your on 1.5
Also If you decide to encode in AVC format you will hvae to change the name of the directory from 100MNV01 to 100ANV01 A for AVC(easy to remember)
