Alright i'm pretty new to modding, I softmodded my XBOX with no problems and was looking to try my hand at modding my PS2.. what i gather so far from the info I came across for modding the PS2.. is.. that you can either use a Swapping technique (which requires no modchip), or you can go the hardware root and buy a PS2 modchip..

My question is.. is there another solution out there to modding a PS2? (Preferably softmodding it?)

I'm asking because with the XBOX softmodding was easy, and once it was done i never had to do any type of disc swapping. Is some similiar type of softmodding available for the PS2?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can also buy a modchip and have someone who knows stuff about electronics install it for you.
