can you use nero to make a good copy of a copy dvd without pixelating

Does that disc you want to re-rip show issues of pixellation?

Just make sure that first backup disc isn't showing any signs of pixellating.Sounds like you are asking about burning on the fly-with 2 different dvd drives. To successfully copy on the fly,you want that backup disc that is to be ripped,to be as error free as possible.This means quality media/standard 4x-8x burn/and a quality burner also helps out. If you have errors on that backup disc that is going to be ripped,then you'll probably get the same errors when you back it up again. You also want a good drive to be the reader.

If the first copy is crap,then you'll get another copy of crap or a crc/burn error. On the fly,that error will give you a coaster.Backing it up onto your hard drive again,you may get the crc error. If you can get it back onto your hard drive,then you'll be ok.


Your first copy needs to be as error free as possible:
Keep compression to a minimum
High quality media
4x burn speed
No paper/sticker labels
Defrag hard drive
Reduced backup target of 4360 mbs,to keep it away from the outer edge.




Re-ripping onto your hard drive would be the safest route. Try dvd decrypter using Mode ISO read to hard drive. Then Mode ISO write/locate MDS folder/open/and burn. It only takes 5 mins longer than On the fly,and less riskier.
