I've just been using DVD Fab Decrypter, ImToo, Xilisoft Platinum to rip DVDs and Nero to burn them but I almost always get a problem with the audio either not being in synch or being the wrong language track.
I haven't used DVD Shrink at all but it appears that a lot of people do. I thought all it did was compress the DVD file so that it would fit better. I haven't used it because my movies still fit and I don't want lost quality. Is there something it does that I am unaware of?

Hi,
In addition to the info LOCENG provided just a quick tip regarding the audio ...use DVD Shrink in re-author mode and you can select only the language you want. Won't get too lengthy as the 2nd link LOCENG posted covers the entire process.

I just bought AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. I hadn't thought about using AnyDVD and DVD Shrink. Would that combination handle the ARccOS discs? I've worked through the process of using DVDfab Decrypter, VOBblanker and DVDshrink, but the process is a bit protracted. AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 can be started and left unattended for a finished product, but I haven't puzzled through trying to get rid of ads and menus and subtitles, etc. with CloneDVD2.
I have my DVD Shrink set to call DVD Decrypter to burn in a single pass, but that won't work with ARccOS. DVD Shrink blows up when it opens one of those discs.
To answer the original question, DVD Shrink does a perfect job with audio. It lets you choose between various Dolby and DTS, and languages, and subtitles. The output is always in sync.

Once AnyDVD decrypts and removes the region, DVD Shrink can then do its thing as it use to in days gone by.....:-)
