Not sure I've ever seen that error message? Do you have the latest version of AnyDVD, which I believe is 5.8.4.1? What movie are you trying to rip/burn? Does the DVD have any scratches, fingerprints, or dirt on it?

I believe I have the lastest version of AnyDVD. I sent a e-mail to SlySoft.com asking how to make sure I had the lastest version haven't heard from them yet. No smudges or finger prints same for scratches, this is the first problem I have had with Any DVD.

TomF1,

All you have to do to find the latest version is, if AnyDVD is in your Tasbar, is just hold the mouse over the icon and it will tell you what version you have. And I mentioned what version I believe is the latest.

Best regards,

Rich

The Latest "Official" Released Version of AnyDVD is 5.8.4.1
TomtF1, You wouldn't happen to have more than 1 optical drive you're using do you? If so, maybe you've changed your drive you've been reading the source disc from. This could give you this message.
Tip: when you put the source disc in & begin to use CloneDVD 2, use the "browse" feature to look for that disc/movie, click on it and continue. Example: I have a DVD Reader drive (D:) & a DVD Burner drive (F:) IF I usually "read" from drive (D:) to burn to my burner, drive (F:) and change to reading from my burner dive (F:) and I don't "browse" for the movie, CloneDVD 2 remembers that the last time I used it I read from drive (D:). It trys to read that drive and there's no source disc there. I hope this helps. It's just a thought. Best of luck to you.
Edited to fix my typos.
