hey guys n girls..hoping someone can shed some light on a drama ive had with only two movies. sound doesnt work until i play around with the audio on the dvd player. why is this?

there is no sound unless i hit the audio button on the dvd player

my guess's would be your dvd is set to 5.1 sound the dvd you are playing are 2ch or the sound on your dvd is on a second voice track check your dvd manual for the function of this button

is there anyway i can change this? as my friend has an old player and we cannot work out how to change the audio on it. this has only happened with two movies..sorry for being a pain..this is definately not my forte (you're laughing at me arent you? heh).

If this is a backed up movie that you have made, my guess is that you've deleted the primary audio track when you backed it up, but if you can play around with the DVD player and get some sound, you may be left to do just that.

lol ..ok give me a break, ive only induced one tenth the amount of my usual caffeine intake today (added to the fact that im daft)

No problem, is it infact a backup you are trying to play? Slip it into DVD Shrink and it should tell you what audio is available.

ok..so its got

1. AC3 2-ch english 0mb
2. AC3 5.1-ch english 315mb
3. AC3 2-ch english 0mb

i dont know if that's what you mean.

remove 1 and 3 untick the boxes and back up and burn your primary voice track is empty
