is there any way to hook up an external pc hard drive up to the psp to play music, games, and movies?

No, currently psp is able to support 4gb of memory storage but that is only thru the memory stick not thru the usb. There are 4gb psp hard drives available, but they are bulky. Rumours are 4gb and 8gb memory sticks will be available soon.

Yes,
Theres a 4GB hard drive by datel! You can get it at best buy! If you want more Memory you can buy a 30GB compact flash memory card (thats what the datel hard drive uses) and insert it in the place of the 4GB card! Good luck finding a 30Gb card!! There is also a hack were you take about a 32MB mem stick the soder the wires of the hard drive to the copper on the mem stick! Google it it will tell you how to do it! I found it a while back!

Nope, I only read about it! I use my iPod as a hard drive and just use the Belkin media reader to transfer the files from my iPod to my 1GB card! Sorry you didn?t get a reply that soon I haven?t been it the PSP forums that much lately, and today I went threw the first 10 pages and tried to reply to every thread that only had 1 post!

That hack will not work because the current psp firmware will only allow 4gb, dont you think they woulda stuck in 30 gb in the first place if it was possible.

Oh you see I didnt know that because I found it a long time ago! Um yes the 30GB Compact Flash Card will work because I have seen it done! Best buy was dimonstrateing it at there mounthle workshop! It was slow though!

I just can't wait til those 4gb sticks come out. I don't think it's a rumor. I believe it's true. I've seen it on psp-hacks.com and they are a pretty reliable source when it comes to psp related topics.
