Hey guys, I just started using this program to test some of my burns, and have seen lots of good scores online and lots of bad. Here is my question. In the program it has Settings: Speed to run the test at. What do i need to select here? I burned the disks at 8x so do i select 8x or do i select 4x like most of the posts people use... and also where does it get the quality score from? And on last thing anywhere i can get a little more info on pi errors and pi failures
different drives implement the scan in different ways, ie intervals (block) of readings.
PI errors (correctable by drive) PI failures ((un-correctable) vary by drive as well.
So as the scan result is dependant mostly to your drive, you'll get different scan results of the same disc on different makes of DVDRW drives.
I use it to keep check on the longevity of my discs, when I burn them I mark its score in the inner hub, and periodicaly re-check the disc to note any signs of deterioration, in batches.
