Does the Xbox read Dual Layered DVD+R discs?? Or do the have to be DVD-R's??

Better question, does the Xbox read DL discs at all for backups??

I want to make a backup of Jade Empire and Metal Gear Solid Substance, but it would be nice to make sure that it will work beforehand.

Xbox can read DL discs, but it depends on your drive. Samsung might not work with +R DL, thompson probably will. If you can, bitset the discs to DVD-ROM. That should make the discs more compatible with a wider range of xbox's.
