I used VOBblanker after dvdhsrink had shown me the red bar(uncompressable data).Even after I had used VOBblanker,dvd is showing the red bar.I followed the instructins carefully and even done it twice.What can fix the problem? Maybe other program than DVDshrink,like nero code 2?
thanks

Try setting shrink to output a custom files size of 4300. Goto edit--preferences, in the preferences tab choose custom from the dropdown menu and enter a value of 4300.

This is how I backed up The Fog (movie only). Used DVD Fab Decrypter 2.9.6.8, then used Shrink. Only Shrink was showing the red bar. Went into Shrink's preferences and changed the "Target DVD size:" to DVD-9 (8.5GB). Now no red bar, but also cannot burn on single layer DVD. Next, I backed up onto HDD but chose "ISO Image File". Once this is completed and the ISO image is on your HDD, open up Shrink and go back to preferences and change back the "Target DVD size:" to DVD-5 (4.7GB). Now go to the File tab and click on "Open Disc Image". Locate the ISO image of the movie on your HDD. Now, presto, no more red bar. Then proceed to Shrink. I choose "ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter". Works for me and all software used is free. Do not pay for AnyDVD. Good luck.

BTW DVD43 and AnyDVD MUST be off when using DVD Fab Decrypter 2.9.6.8 or higher, otherwise, you will have problems.

@elrad
Did you try a main movie only backup?
Here's a guide on how to re-author a movie using shrink.

http://www.jlathamsite.com/dvd/DVDShrink3.htm

Try backing up just the main movie, have shrink create an ISO image file and burn to disk with DVD Decrypter.
