Rip it to your HD (I use DVD Decrypter ), run files through VOB Blanker, and then through DVD Shrink as you usually would...

@gatorsean

Delete DVDFab Decrypter from you HDD and download and reainstall it again. Rip the movie to HDD using DVDFab Decrypter with AnyDVD disabled, then open the resulting folder in VobBlanker ( all you need to do with vobblanker is supply a source and a target) and hit process. Open in DVD Shrink and continue and usual.

Is the disc free of dirt and scratches? Take it out and give it a good inspection, may be a bad press...is the disc ever recognized in your puter?

I managed to back up my copy using Any Dvd (5.9.0.0 beta) and Clone Dvd 2. Got the cyclic redundency check error at first but hit next anyway. Then I removed all the garbage I did'nt want and backed it up as usual. b.t.w. I see the Beta version (5.9.1.1) has now been released as an update. Go get it!

i copied the files to my HDD, and go to use vobBlanker and it only rips 5 of the 8 files. but i remember using dvddecryptor and it had a lot more files than 8.

i try to open the files in DVD Shrink and it gives me the error message "Dvd shrink encountered and error and cannot continue"

It just runs slow on some puters, make sure DMA is enabled for all of your drives and you are using the most current version of DVDFab Decrypter (you must uninstall any previous versions for the update to take).

my drives to have DMR active on both. i read in the "FOG" thread that someone else said it was slow to rip. it took like 4 hours for them.

when i pull up DVD Shrink to burn the files i get a "memory" error message. do you know what causes this. i don't have any software running in the backround such as AnyDVD or DVD Region Free+CSS or DVD43. i am in the middle of trying to rip it again.

Hope It Works.

DVDFab should rip it the with the same effects as AnyDVD and once you run it through VobBlanker it the structure should be corrected for transcoding with DVD Shrink.

Have you uninstalled DVDFab and reinstalled it with the latest version. The latest update was supposed to take care of some speed issues.

I just backed-up this movie, ripped it with DVDFab Decrypter, and ran it through DVD Shrink (all the while AnyDVD was running in the background)
