i have a toshiba l-10 laptop and on the dvd drive it says dvd+, i am using dvd- and cd- discs a friend has told me this could be damaging the drive is this true.
p.s sorry if this is a stupid question i havent been using a computer for very long so im very experianced.

thanks for your help lads i was afraid i was doing damage to my computer just another quick question if u dont mind is there any advantages in using + instead of - or visa versa thanks again!

p.s in my first message i said i was very experianced that was a typing error im not very experianced at all!

I only use +RW discs. You need to find which is best for your system. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim life plus are reliable makes. have a look in the media section for recommendations.

thanks for that link a lot of the content was a bit too technical for me but i found the section on errors and pits paticularly helpfull and interesting thanks again for your help time for me too log off im in ireland and its geting late hope to talk again soon!
