Cogswap and Codebreaker Cheats

I have cogswap and codebreaker v8. Can the codebreaker load cheats with cogswap or am I farked?

I don't have a hdd. I use cogswap.elf and a ps1 disc to load my backups. Would swapmagic 3.+ e required?
