Hi, I've got the same problem.
I already tried that a few times but it still doesn't work.
My pc just doesn't recognize a copied dvd.
No problem with my home cinema, only with windows.
What can this be?

phantom69 is right the copy portion of Nero or EZCD media creator both will copy the disc, if the copy protection has been stripped.

@rachelll & blueangel
The problems that you two are experiencing are due to one of the following when making the first backup copy:
1. You backed up using cheap media.
2. You burned too fast, giving you errors when trying to rerip.
3. You have applied paper labels to the blank disc.
If you have another drive you should try to rip in it, some drives are better at reading than others.

i use numerous copying programmes....ie DVD Shrink ..Nero..roxio 8. x copy express. dvd santa....1 or the other always gets the job done! do you have "slysoft any dvd" running in the background?
also are you copying to hard drive ..then to disc...or dvd rom to dvd burner.....try a slower burn time.....check surface of disc for dirt. dust and that the disc is perfect..ie ..no chips . blemishes ect...make sure no other programmes are running while you are copying.....good luck

For making copies, of already backed-up movies I use Alcohol 120% ,I also use this prog for most of my audio copying, and if DVD Shrink is not needed, I just copy the movie direct with Alcohol 120% .
If anything suggested here doesn't work, you can always just rip the movie to your HD, and burn with Nero...
