I got a cyclic redundency check error once during the analys stage and once during the backup stage(with different DVDs).what does this error refer to and how can I fix it?

A CRC error is typically caused by a dirty, smudged, or scratched disk, you may also have a bad press. The other possibility is copy protection that shrink can't handle, so since you state that you tried to clean it and don't state that it looks scratched, it's either a bad press or copy protection.
For bad press, you'll need to get another disk and try it.
If it's copy protection, DVDShrink alone wont be able to backup your movie, so this is what you do:
Rip the movie files to the HDD using the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter, once done open the files with DVDShrink (use the open files option and browse to the VIDEO_TS folder, highlight it and click ok), at this point use shrink as you normally would.
If shrink gives you a problem when trying to open the files created by DVDFab, you'll need to process the files thru VobBlanker first then open the files created by VobBlanker with shrink as described.
