Don't worry, it's not the bios, I am not even sure what's wrong. So I got the emulator, inserted a bios, insert a game and press execute or run cd. It sorta loads but SO SLOW!!!! You can see those little lights in PS2 main menu flying centimeter by centimeter. Why is it so SLOW??? Is it the bios? Or emulator? Besides all that, the emulator eats up 100,000+ KB of virtual memory (looked in processes) HELP!! plz. thanks.
If this is reguarding the PS2 emulator for pc, what you are getting is normal. You are probably using PCSX2 which is currently the best pc ps2 emulator out there. 90% of ps2 games run very slow on it because computers just don't have the processing power. To run games smoothly on PCSX2, would require a 5ghz processor.
THanks, I got another VERY important issue. Ok I got a bios, emulator, dvd drive, game and then in emulator, what do I RUN??? THere are so many files, and most I tried but don't launch anything. Which file do I boot or execute in PSX2???????????
There isn't a good enough PS2 emulator to play recent games yet but it is being developed and beta tested PCSX2 V0.9 some thing like that lol well anyway it is the latest of the PCSX2 a PS2 emulator and it as been tested playing FFXII DEMO which it does just not perfect which is why they are still testing but it should be available soon.
Get the GSdx9 graphic plugin. Works the best, if your card supports it. Also, if you have a P4 or and Athlon XP or better, get the SSE2 enhanced one. Makes a difference in speed.
