IE6 is messed up badly, help please.

well its abig story so here goes,

3 days ago i went onto the internet ( via IE6 ) and the microsoft thing came up to update something, and i ignored it, so yesterday i went on to IE6 and it went to the homepage fine, but crashed when i tryed to anything that had something to do with the internet, so now im going to my computer the typing in an address at the top to bypass IE6, so i called NTL ( internet provider ) and they said to uninstall IE6 and reinstall and update, so i did that and its still doing it, then i tryed to reset my PC back to a previous date ( twice ).

can u help me fix it, please?

things u may need to know ;-

i am using windows ME ( new PC on the 22nd )
i am using ( trying to use ) IE6
the last thing i done was play no brainer 2 on addictinggames.com

mmmm, cant think of anything else that will help.

The issue may not be with IE but Win ME not working together with IE6...

So u uninstalled it completley and even removed it from the registry... if u havent tried that try it and then install it again and c if that works...

But if u can change ur Windows from ME to XP.

i agree id say its probably got more to do with the fact that your running the worst operating system ever made than internet explorer being faulty.

id upgrade to XP asap or at least do a fresh install of ME

also its possible that your game playing antics have got your pc so riddled with spyware that IE cant work properly so you may want to run a spyware scan on the machine before you attempt anything else

yeah, i did about 4 different tests and nothing showed up, and about the ME to XP, my new PC is coming in 7 days

yeah, its cool, i rebooted it last night and reinstalled programs that only i would use, coz im plotting to get this 1 in my room and hooking it up to my tv
