Alright I guess I am not a newbie at this I have made about 50 backup's. One question though why do my dvd's only play on one of my dvd players. Its a piece of junk one a sungale. Not my RCA, I use +R and +RW but same problem with both and both are supposed to play on it. Looked all over for info but can't find any. I use DVD Shrink/Decrypter to make them, and Record now to burn them. Any insight would be much appreciated. Is DVD Shrink no good or what.

No shrink is fine. In fact you don't even need to burn w/ record now. Shrink will autoburn w/ decrypter if you pick this option once you click back up. It under 'select backup target'.
Players can be picky with media. What is the brand your using?
If you drive supports it - you should booktype the +r's. Decrypter can booktype if you have certain drives. This makes the disc appear to be a dvd rom to the player - and more compatible.

Booktyping makes the disc appear to be a dvd rom which is almost univerally compatible. I don't think your drive have this capability though.
So now your media - maxell should be okay but hp no. Use quality media like taiyo yuden or verbatim. To help compatiblity if burning over 4x try 4. I would also make sure your burners firmware is up to date. The latest is KH27 and can be found here:
