hi, i got a psp for christmas and today was the first time i even opened it up from the box.. why didnt i open it ealier you ask? i dont know, this thing kicks ass!
anyway.. i did some searching and found out i have a "c" model.. which is version 1.52.
ok, now my problem is.. i downloaded
UMDEMULATOR V0.8c because it was needed to browse the internet.. i got it all set up, and when i went to my games i clicked on the smiley face icon and then tried fire it up and some other one from this website.. "wipe out" but neither work.. i think i installed them incorrectly. can someone please tell me how to correctly install them. the main reason why i only want the psp is so i can browse the internet from it.
thanks very much (please dont say "go read you stupid noob!" because i have read on how to do it. i guess its not put simple enough for me to understand. so can someone please tell me how to get fired it up or wipeout pure to work on my psp 1.52 so i can browse the internet. thanks a ton!)

you know whats a lot easier, going to 2.0 it gives you a internet option and it is very simple.
Don't go any higher unless you don't want ISO's or the Universal Remote. as you know you can't downgrade to a 1.5 from a 2.1 or higher.
but i bet it is that you are at a 1.51. do what i just said. upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to a 1.5. but i'm not quite sure, never have used it myself.

Yes Codeman is right, NO homebrew works on 1.52, do what codeman says upgrade to 2.0. While your in 2.0 you can check out the PSP internet browser and see if you like it. Then downgrade to 1.5, and you can run the fired up browser with UMD emulator, Id check out all the homebrew websites 1.5 can run 99.9% of it
